With a total value of <strong>EUR 66,583,171.15<\/strong>, including <strong>EUR 59,453,226.49 in EU non-reimbursable funding<\/strong>, the Programme directly supports border communities and their sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The projects will bring benefits across the Programme area, covering the counties of <strong>Satu Mare, Maramure\u0219, Boto\u0219ani, Suceava and Tulcea<\/strong> in Romania, as well as the regions of <strong>Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi and Odesa<\/strong> in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EU funding is being channelled into concrete initiatives, supporting cooperation among <strong>more than 200 partner institutions and organisations<\/strong> on both sides of the border:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Environment, climate change adaptation and risk prevention:<\/strong> 57 organisations from Romania and Ukraine are working together on 20 projects, benefiting from <strong>EUR 23,168,582.89<\/strong> in EU funding for emergency response equipment, disaster prevention and practical environmental protection measures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Biodiversity protection:<\/strong> 13 organisations are implementing 6 joint projects, supported by <strong>EUR 2,217,438.05<\/strong> in EU funding, focusing on the protection of nature and local ecosystems, as well as the development of green spaces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inclusive education and training:<\/strong> 64 organisations from the education sector are implementing 24 projects, with <strong>EUR 12,362,165.60<\/strong> in EU support for the modernisation of schools, digital equipment and improved equal access to education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Health and modernised medical services:<\/strong> 27 healthcare organisations have secured <strong>EUR 9,311,920.15<\/strong> in EU funding through 10 projects, supporting the acquisition of new medical equipment and the improvement of healthcare services for local communities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Good governance and administrative cooperation:<\/strong> 47 organisations are working together through 16 projects, supported by <strong>EUR 10,448,261.57<\/strong> in EU funding, to simplify administrative procedures and build stronger partnerships between institutions on both sides of the border.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Border management and mobility:<\/strong> 11 organisations are implementing 5 projects focused on safety and efficiency at the border, benefiting from <strong>EUR 1,944,858.23<\/strong> in EU funding to facilitate traffic flows and improve border-crossing conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With all contracts now signed, the projects will begin to deliver tangible benefits for communities across the border, contributing to improved services and infrastructure that matter in people&#8217;s everyday lives.
