Every year, more than 40 European countries mark Interreg Cooperation Day, an initiative that reminds us that Europe is not defined by borders, but by a community of people united by shared values, dialogue and mutual trust. It is a day dedicated to co-operation, friendship and European spirit, showing that together we can build a better future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through cultural, educational and civic activities, the day brings the tangible results of Interreg programmes to the fore, demonstrating how ideas come to life through collaboration: ideas become projects, projects become partnerships, and partnerships become success stories for communities that choose to work together across borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Art for co-operation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2025 edition of Interreg Co-operation Day was celebrated in Tulcea under the theme \u201eStronger Together\u201d - a message reflecting human bonds across borders and the importance of solidarity. With this initiative, Tulcea joins the cities of Chernivtsi and Suceava in the series of artistic projects giving colour and visibility to cross-border cooperation. A new mural, symbolically entitled \u201eCooperate. Create. Connect.\u201d, has been created on the facade of \u201eAlexandru Ciucurencu\u201d Secondary School, by Tulcea artist Silviu Tudorof, completing the series of murals inaugurated in Suceava and Chernivtsi on the occasion of the 2022 and 2024 Interreg Cooperation Day, symbols of common friendship and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than an artistic intervention, this year's mural is a visual manifesto of co-operation and European values. Placed on the walls of a school, it becomes an open lesson in dialogue, respect and solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stronger together<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 in Tulcea was not just a celebration, but a concrete expression of the spirit that animates the Romania-Ukraine Interreg NEXT Programme - to bring people together, to promote mutual understanding and to build, step by step, a common future based on trust, dialogue and friendship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was attended by representatives of the Programme Management Authority (MDLPA) and the Joint Secretariat (BRCT Suceava), former and current beneficiaries of the Romania-Ukraine cooperation programmes, representatives of local and county public authorities, as well as interested members of the public, who underlined the importance of cross-border cooperation for strengthening relations between the communities of the two countries.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
