Inauguration of the second „Message for Ukraine” mural in Chernivtsi, a symbol of solidarity and cross-border co-operation

The Romania-Ukraine Joint Operational Programme concludes the implementation period of the cooperation projects financed with European funds with a message of solidarity dedicated to the Ukrainian people, through contemporary mural art. On 25 June, at 11.00, at the Municipal Centre of Creativity for Children and Youth, will be presented to the public the mural painting created within the programme. The event is organised by the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Regional Office for Cross-border Cooperation Suceava together with the Managing Authority of the Romanian Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration. The event will include artistic moments and interventions to highlight the positive impact of cross-border cooperation projects on the development of border regions. Large-scale mural painting, created on the facade of the building of the Municipal Centre of Creation for Children and Youth in Chernivtsi, with the support of the Chernivtsi City Hall, is a replica of the one previously created in Suceava. It is part of the campaign-manifest „Message for Ukraine”, an initiative of the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine to mark the European Cooperation DayInterreg. Under the #standwithukraine, The painting symbolises European solidarity, the joint efforts and commitment of the Romanian-Ukrainian cross-border community and the potential of the young generation.
