MISSION

The declared mission of ROCBC Suceava is the sustainable development of the Romanian-Ukrainian border region by promoting interregional, domestic, and international cooperation, and by supporting local initiatives.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of ROCBC Suceava are as follows:

  • Providing administrative, technical, and logistical support appropriate for the implementation of cross-border cooperation programmes, in accordance with the delegation of authority agreements and technical assistance contracts concluded with the Managing Authority/Managing Authorities of the cooperation programmes within the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA);
  • Ensuring the administrative, technical, and logistical support required for the implementation of Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes financed by the European Union budget;
  • Promoting and stimulating cross-border cooperation (including within Euroregions) and interregional cooperation for socio-economic development;
  • Developing competencies regarding sustainable socio-economic development, attracting non-reimbursable funding, and project management;
  • Reducing imbalances in the Romania-Ukraine border area by stimulating cooperation and sustainable economic, social, and cultural development of the region, with the aim of increasing the quality of life.
