BRCT SUCEAVA, at the working meeting organised by the Romanian Consulate in Solotvino

BRCT SUCEAVA REPRESENTATIVES ATTEND THE WORKING MEETING IN SOLOTVINO, Ukraine, DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF RO-UA CROSS-BORDER PROJECTS for the INTERREG NEXT PROGRAMME 2021-2027.

The Romanian Consulate in Solotvino in collaboration with the State Administration of the Transcarpathian Region, Ukraine, organised on 15 February a working meeting to facilitate contacts between representatives of Romanian and Ukrainian authorities for the development of cross-border projects in the next financial year.

The INTERREG Next Romania-Ukraine Programme for the period 2021-2027 is managed by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration, as Managing Authority, and the Suceava Regional Office for Cross-border Cooperation will provide the Joint Secretariat for the future programme. During the meeting, representatives of BRCT Suceava gave a presentation of the current status of the Joint Operational Programme 2014-2020, as well as the funding opportunities in the Interreg Next Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 programme. The priorities and objectives addressed by the future programme, as well as indicative actions that may be the subject of cross-border cooperation projects were detailed in the plenary session. The event was organised in the presence of the Romanian Consul in Solotvino, Florin Grațian Pârvu, the initiator of this meeting, the leadership of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration, represented by Viktor Mykyta, President of the State Administration of the Transcarpathian Region, the presidents of the district councils, as well as mayors from the upper and lower reaches of the Tisza River. From Maramureș, 20 mayors, accompanied by specialists in drafting and implementing cross-border projects, representatives of the Prefect's Office of Maramureș County and Maramureș County Council, representatives of the Romanian community in Transcarpathia, attended the event.
