In addressing the effects of Russia's annexation of Crimea and the conflict in eastern Ukraine, Euroregions involving Ukraine can play a significant role - firstly as an interface between the EU and Ukraine and, secondly, as a direct initiator and at the same time beneficiary of the measures to be taken by the EU and Ukraine. Last but not least, the Euroregions, as well as the new structures of the European Grouping of Territorial Co-operation (EGTC), can ensure the transfer of EU know-how to Ukraine.
