Young people were particularly interested in digital competences. During the three series of events, the guests from Ukraine had the opportunity to visit several cooperation projects funded by the Romania-Ukraine Programme and to benefit from the experience gained by those who have accessed European funding. The hosts of the events were Tulcea County Council, Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, the Emergency Inspectorates of Tulcea and Siret, WWF Romania, high schools from Maramureș and Suceava. The testimonies of Ukrainian teenagers best illustrate the success of the event: “Our trip to Romania was amazing! In these 3 days we learnt a lot of new and useful information about ecology. I think such activities are very important. Especially nowadays when environmental issues have become very topical. During the trip I learnt a lot of new information about the Carpathian forests, I saw unprecedented samples of flora and fauna, I learnt what dead wood is and how important it is for the preservation of the forest ecosystem”. (Participant from Ivano-Frankivsk) “I did not expect such a trip. I got good experience in different spheres and this will help me to choose a profession in the future. I would also like to say that I received a lot of positive, unforgettable emotions. I was amazed by your kindness, attentiveness and friendliness! (Participant from Izmail)
