This autumn, Tulcea will host a cultural initiative highlighting the value of cross-border cooperation. As part of the celebration of the Interreg 2025 Cooperation Day and the 35th anniversary of European cooperation, the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme will unveil a large-scale mural painting on the wall of the „Alexandru Ciucurencu” Gymnasium.

The inauguration will take place on 8 October 2025 at 11:00, bringing together beneficiaries, community members, artists, media representatives and programme structures. The festive moment will be complemented by a photo exhibition highlighting stories from projects funded under the Romania-Ukraine cooperation programmes. These stories will reflect not only the achievements in education, environment and cultural exchange, but also the human bonds created through years of work on the border.

And the experience won't stop there: through timelapse videos, online galleries and behind-the-scenes footage, everyone will be able to witness the transformation of a blank wall into a colourful emblem of hope and cooperation
