Europe- Ukraine Forum, Rzeszow Poland 24-25 January

BRCT Suceava was the co-organiser of the 12th edition of the Europe-Ukraine Forum, which took place in Rzeszow, on 24-25 January 2019. Discussions during the event focused on the following topics: - Cooperation and good neighbourly relations in the interest of Central and Eastern European countries; - The importance of joint and coordinated actions for border regions; - involvement of border regions in cross-border projects, exchange of ideas and experiences; - the significant influence of the implementation of cross-border projects on the development of these areas and increasing their attractiveness; - factors favouring or complicating cross-border cooperation; - elements that help to build mutual relations. BRCT Suceava has prepared and delivered a relevant lecture about the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020, about the benefits and achievements expected from its implementation Regarding the perspectives, the importance of continuing the cooperation of local and/or regional public authorities with Ukraine by accessing European funds, in accordance with the priorities that have been approved by the Programme: environment and emergency situations, transport, communications, health and social activities, education, etc. Some basic elements of the Programme were communicated to the participants, as well as the estimated timetable for its implementation. The organisers provided BRCT Suceava with a stand where the roll-up of the Programme was displayed, leaflets were distributed and Mrs Adriana NICULA provided information about the Programme to the visitors.
