On 20 June 2024, BRCT Suceava was honoured with the Third Prize at the Civil Society Gala 2024, in the section „Defending Individual/Collective Rights”, for the outstanding project entitled „Beyond Borders - A joint effort for Ukrainian refugees by implementing international practices”.
Beyond Borders project: a collaborative success
The project was carried out in collaboration with the international humanitarian organisation Action Against Hunger (ACF) and three other local non-governmental organisations: the Bucovina Institute Association from Suceava, the Association From Soul to Smile from Tulcea and the Foundation of Ukrainian Hungarians from Romania, Maramureș. This initiative aimed to provide direct and essential support to Ukrainian refugees affected by the conflict.
Through the combined efforts of the partners involved, the project was able to provide direct financial assistance to 2,500 vulnerable Ukrainian refugees. This intervention has been vital in providing immediate and effective support, contributing significantly to improving their living conditions.
Implementing international practices
The project implemented international humanitarian aid practices tailored to the specific needs of refugees. These practices included:
- Direct financial assistance for Ukrainian refugees.
- Close collaboration with local and international organisations to maximise the effectiveness and impact of interventions.
- Continuously monitor and adjust support programmes to meet the changing needs of beneficiaries.
Thanks to all our partners for their support!
